How to Convert PHP to USD for Investments (FX Conversion)
You can convert your Philippine Peso (PHP) funds to US Dollars (USD) for investing in dollar-denominated mutual funds, UITFs, or bonds through Metrobank’s FX facility.
Follow these simplified steps:
Submit the Subscription Agreement
- Fill out the Subscription Agreement for USD Onshore Investments.
- Submit the form via the Help Center link provided in the instructions.
- Processing takes 1 business day.
- A signed copy from FirstMetroSec will be emailed to your registered email address.
Print and Bring the Signed Agreement
Print the signed Subscription Agreement. You must present this at the Metrobank branch as supporting documentation. You have 10 business days to complete the FX process—after this, the agreement becomes invalid.
Fill out the following at Any Metrobank Branch
- Application to Purchase Foreign Exchange (APFE) – for FX payment to another local resident
- Application for Miscellaneous Transactions (AMT)
- Write the name of the mutual fund, UITF, or bond you are investing in.

Fill out the green Payment Slip:
- Company Name: First Metro Securities Brokerage Corp.
- Account Name + Account Code: (e.g., UOTAxxxxx)
- Reference No.: 512
Important Reminders
- FX conversion is only for dollar-denominated mutual funds, UITFs, and bonds.
- You must be a Metrobank depositor, but a USD account is not required.
- No processing fees.
- Submit one Subscription Agreement per investment instrument.
- Once USD is purchased and credited to your FMS USD account, your order will be executed in full and cannot be edited or canceled.
